Why You Must Maintain The Exterior of your RV
The exterior finish of your RV is continually being assaulted by the sun, the rain, the bugs and road debris. Like rusting metal, your RV’s exterior paint job will slowly break down, offering less and less effective protection to the vehicle itself. The weather, the wind, sun and rain, have all become too much for your poor paint job.

Wash the exterior with specially designed car washing product. Household detergents and cleaners can actually harm the surface due to the alkaline or acidic nature of these products. You could also use car wax, among other automotive products (if you’re up to it) to give your paint job edded protection from the elements.
You know what else? Get mud flaps. They work.. . There are also rubber guards you can attach to the front of your trailer to protect from the road debris, and installing one is definitely an option for folks who use gravel roads frequently. It’s amaxing how fast gravel can strip the paint right off, and do damage to the fiberglass or metal of the hull.
